Eyelash Extensions
Eyelash Extensions
One of the best things about lash extension is the ability to enhance your eyes, in the best way suited to you.
This eyelash extension chart helps you to see the different types of lash extensions, curls, and lengths that are available.
Once we have established which lash curl you desire, we will work together to see what lash style is best for you. There are a number of different lash styles, being: Classic, Hybrid, Russian, Volume, Foxeye, Half Lash, Anime/Manga, Coloured Lashes and many more! You can also choose different lenghts accross the eyes, sometimes people like a winged eyelash look, using longer lashes on the ends, compared to doll style.
How long do Lash Extensions last?
It is recommended to get lash extensions infilled every two to three weeks. How often infills are required depends on the natural growth cycle, which differs from person to person. Extensions can last up to six weeks on natural lashes
Types of Lash Extensions we offer:
Classic lashes are the perfect way to enhance natural lashes. With the classic technique, one individual lash is applied to one natural lash to create a natual looking set. Depending on the desired look, there are a variety of curls, lengths, and thicknesses to choose from.
Russian lash extensions are applied in a technique that uses more than one lash to create a personalised fan. Using soft, ultra-lightweight lashes, these fans are created and then applied onto an individual lash to create a multi-lash voluminous effect. Unlike classic lashes, where one singular extension is applied to a natural lash, Russian lashes aim to give a fluffier lash style. Russian lash extensions are available in a range of thicknesses, curls, and lengths, meaning a bespoke look can easily be created.
Hybrid lash extensions are a blend of two lash types - Classic lashes and Russian lashes. This technique offers a defined but full and fluffy set of lashes
Volume lash extensions are done using the same technique as russian lashes, instead much thicker fans are used to create a fuller look.
Fox Eye
The technique used for this type of extension is called "angel wing," which consists of placing short lashes on the inner corners of the eyes and progressively lengthening them on the outside corners. Curls such as L and LC are used to acheive a fox eye look, untimetely giving a dramatic winged eyelook.
Anime/Manga
Anime/Manga style lash extensions are characterised by longer, individual spiky lash segments that stand out against shorter, feathery lashes. This unique triangular positioning of the eyelash extensions is what helps to create the exaggerated cartoon style eye shape that female manga and anime characters typically have.
Half Lash
Half lashes are exactly what they sound like. These falsies are half the size of regular false lashes, and you apply them in the outer corners of your eyes. Half lashes add volume and enhance the look of your natural lashes.
Whisps/Spikes
+ An add on to your lash sets. Spikes are closed or narrow fans is often the longest extension in the set, placed strategically throughout the set to create a choppy look. Whisps are the same, but much more softer.
Coloured Lashes
Coloured lash extensions are perfect for those who want to get creative and add a pop of colour to their lash sets! These come in a number of colours and glitters. Coloured lashes are also very popular during festival and holiday periods.
Patch Testing
A patch test is required 48 hours before your appointment. If you choose not to attend a patch test, you will be required to sign a consent form before your appointment.
Eyelash extensions last 4-6 weeks on average. Since they are attached to your natural eyelashes, your extension retention is directly related to the natural lash growth cycle and shedding cycle. The loss of a natural eyelash usually also means losing an extension.
We suggest getting an infill every two or three weeks to maintain fullness, by which at this point you would have around 40%/50% of lash extensions remaining.
Do not wear contact lens to your appointment. we recommend clients wear glasses the day of service.
If you wear glasses please bring these with you so we can make sure there is room for you lashes to grow.
It is important to arrvie to your lash appointment with clean lashes. Any oil residue can cause retention issues, so it's very important your natural lashes be as clean as possible.
When applying eyelashes we considert the following:
Your eye shape, the curve of the natural lash, the length of your lash, your hair colour, your lifestyle / exceptions.
To maintain your eyelash extensions, the following instructions should be followed:
No use of waterproof mascara – Please note that the use of mascara might reduce the life of your lash extensions.
No water or oil to come in contact with the eye area within 24 hours of the eyelash extension procedure.
No sauna or hot tub for 48 hours after the eyelash extension procedure.
After 24 hours, you can get your eyelash extensions wet - It is important to keep them clean from any dirt or makeup. A lash shampoo cleanser kit can be purchased at your appointment which contains no oil.
No use of oil based products around the eye area. Please use a lash shampoo for removal.
No use of eyelash curlers, tinting or perming of the natural lashes while wearing eyelash extensions.
Use caution when blow-drying hair (extensive heat on lashes could distort the shape of the extensions).
Natural lashes shed every 6-8 weeks and fall out naturally, do not pull them out.
Be gentle with the lash extensions, avoid tugging them and getting them caught on clothes and towels.
Never pull off the eyelash extensions as this will pull out your natural eyelashes - this will damage your natural lashes.
Gently comb through the lashes to maintain a good appearance, but only a few times each week as too much may loosen them.
Schedule your appointment within 2-3 weeks of your initial eyelash extension procedure for infill. After this period it may need to be considered as a full set.
**For new clients, a patch test is required 48 hours before your appointment. If you choose not to attend a patch test, you will be required to sign a consent form before your treatment.**
